Hello,
Our customer has TPA3118D2 EVM Rev.C, they request us to provide Rev.C PCB pattern layout pdf file.
Where can we find that file?

Hi, I've noticed that the BOM is not up to date. You have posted a TOKO inductor instead of the Wurth Elektronik Inductor 7447709100. Is it possible to get the BOM updated?
Thank you!

Hi Experts,
coud you pls share the TPA3118D2EVM design files, including the schematic and PCB files, thank you.

In TPA3118D2EVM, for get a better thermal connection, big copper area without any resist film under the IC. (refer to TPA3118D2EVM datasheet P.9) When designing for production, how should we design the shape of resist film under this amp IC? I'm afraid of soldering defect because of opening resist film large area.Hello,
i have a question regarding the TPA3118D2.
In the TPA3118D2EVM are 3 different parts for the inductors L1-L4 noted.
- Must i also change C21-C24, when i change L1-L4? If yes, which value must i use?
- What makes the difference between these 3 inductor types, sound quality or only EMI?
- What is the value for the inductor type "FB1812" in µH?

Hi there,
Thanks very much for the responses to our previous question on this.
We are pretty close to completing a design based on the specs of this EVM.
Just to double-check, I'd appreciate if you could confirm the following:
Let OUTPR and OUTNR denote, respectively, the positive output and the negative output of the Right channel.
The voltage difference between OUTNR and OUTPR can change approximately between -VCC and +VCC. Is this correct?
If this is correct, is there a way to combine the Right and the Left channels to obtain an output swing between approximately -2VCC and +2VCC?
On a related note, PBTL configuration would increase the output current capacity but not the voltage swing intervals. Correct?
Thank you.

I have an EVM module with me, TPA3118D2EVM. I did a very simple hook-up by supplying the EVM with 12V and connected a 4ohm load. Input signal is 50mVrms 1kHz sinewave. At early stage, I managed to obtain amplified output at the 4ohm load. I tried increasing the input level slowly and at a point, the output disappear. I power off the supply and turn on again, and no more output at the load. I checked, the Fault pin is always low. I followed the instruction at section 7.3.9 & 7.3.10 to remove the protection latch but to no avail. Kindly advise why the Fault could not recover and always stays at low. Thanks.
Hello Andy-san,
Thank you for your reply.
Measurement conditions are as follows.
For measurement, we used TAS5760MDEVM and TPA3118D2EVM.
TAS5760MDEVM:
PVCC: 24V
Input: OPTICAL, 1 kHz, -12 dB
GUI: PPC 1.16,
AnalogGain: 24 dB
DigitalGain: The input level can be changed by Volume Control.
Load: 8 Ω
TPA3118D2EVM:
PVCC: 24V
Input: Analog, 1 kHz Input variable up to Max 2 Vrms (0 dBFS Max for AudioInterface usage)
I measured the output at which distortion starts under the above conditions.

Hi Fabrizio-san,
Could you please change C55 from 1nF to 47pF on your board such as TPA3118D2EVM ?
