Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA3120D2 Why does the datasheet headline "advanced power-off pop reduction" yet doesn't tell you that a bunch of extra circuitry is needed for this? The data sheet doesn't show the extra circuitry needed which is shown…
Attached is a presentation that discusses supply pumping in single-ended (SE) class-D amplifiers, as well as a simple solution to circumvent the problem.

Hi Namith, May I know where is the heat from? From AMP or inductors or other components? We know that some customer had the similar heat issue previously, and the root cause is the caps failure on the board. Please help to check the component failure…
Hello,
The TPA3123D2 can get into a startup issue causing the exact symptoms you describe if the SD is not asserted correctly. This is caused by the method used to control pop and noise on startup.
Please see the app note attached:

Hi Yang,
Let me add some comments below:
LC filter can be included, as you mention it would take signal into sine-like wave based on the input signal. No problem with this. Use of filter, either LC or ferrite+capacitor depends on the application…

You can take a look at the attached document to find some filter values used on Class-D amplifiers.

Hello Bruce,
It sounds like the it is caused by over current condition. There is no way of disabling the over current protection function. Are you using the EVM with LC filter for your inductive load? When designing the LC filter, the load must be…
