Hi Team,
Would you please help for the TPA6139 schematic and layout review?

Hi,
Our customer is using MAX97720 Headphone Amplifier with their product now. We suggested to him replace it with TAP6139A2. The MAX97720 is not only used as a headphone amplifier but also used as a line amplifier for 10-k ohm load in their product. So, he requested to us TPA6139A2 measurement data same as 'OUTPUT VOLTAGE vs. LOAD RESISTANCE' in MAX97720 datasheet page 7. But we do not have a TPA6139A2EVM. Could you measure 'OUTPUT VOLTAGE vs. LOAD RESISTANCE' data of TPA6139A2 same as MAX97720 datasheet?
Best regards,
Akio Ito

Hi all,
Please help to check the pop noise issue on TPA6139: we insert a audio jack and then unmute TPA6139 after 200ms.
1. When we unmute TPA6139 on customer's board, we'll get a negative waveform on audio out channel and we'll hear a pop noise.
2. At the same time, we see an signal shown on TPA6139's audio input side.
3. If I let amp's audio input as floating, there will not have negative signal on audio out and no pop noise is heard.
Is there any suggestion for us to solve the pop noise issue? Like delay more time (500ms or more?) or modify the capacitor or...? We've remove C476 and C581 and Cvss and Ccharge has the same 1uF capacitor.
Thanks for your kindly help.
Best regards,
Gary Teng

We are using the TPA6139A2 with a 3.9 kohm (1%) gain setting resistor. I have measured the resistor value to be 3903 ohm. The gain in the TPA6139A2 should then be 20 dB. However, on our recently produced boards it does not work. The gain seems to be the default (6 dB). When I add 100 ohm resistance (totalling 4.0 kohm) the gain becomes 20 dB. This is however outside the datasheet specification (which states 2 % tolerance on gain resistor value). We have not seen this behaviour on our 10 previously produced boards. Component marking for TPA6139 on the old boards: 2BTG4 CHN. Component marking for TPA6139 on the new boards: 14TG4 C5VT. As a side note: In the datasheet it says "Gain setting is latched when the MUTE pin is set high". This does not seem correct, the only time it is latched (as far as we can see) is at power up. The datasheet also reference "Rfb", which I believe is a copy paste error from some other datasheet.

Dear, Sir.
I am promoting TPA6139A2 to replace from AK4201.
Customer side, Input is PWM. So that, they put 2-pole LPF input for AK4201.
Looks like impossible to construct 2-pole LPF and tune it on TPA6139A2 because
resisters are integrated inside.
Is there any solution to reach AK4201 level using TPA6139A2?

Hi All,
I have some questions for TAD5142.
(1) I used it as a headphone amplifier, but does it have OCP on the output?
(2) In answer in (1), if an OCP is installed, will the Rch also stop when the Lch detects OCP?
(3) In answer in (1), if an OCP is installed, what is the OCP threshold current?
(4) I would like to use the TAD5142 in a single-ended configuration like the TPA6139A2. In that case, how should I set MD4 and MD5?
Or can't I use the TAD5142 single ended like with the TPA6139A2?

Hello E2E Experts.
Good day.
Any PSPICE model for LM4810?
If none, any alternative part to use?
