Well, not exactly. Dual ORing controller also may not solve the problem unless you can detect the reverse current close to 0-A.

Removing it will definitely help to increase the turn on time of V5A gate.
If you are not requiring current sharing, TPS2413 will perform better here than TPS2412.

TPS2412 can be used as it is very similar to TPS2413, except that it has a linear ORing control and thereby it regulates the source - drain voltage of MOSFET to 20mV. TPS2413 does not regulate source drain voltage.

So, gate voltage will not be fully enhanced.
If you would require a device that does not do regulation of Vds, please have a loop at TPS2413 device.
