Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS24720 , TPS24751 I am looking for protection of a device against battery-reversal, over-voltage, under-voltage and over-current. Since the device will operate unattended retry is mandatory. The load to be protected…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS24720 We plan to use TPS24720 in our design.
I have few query.
Can we use the IMON pin to monitor the current flowing through the device all the time.
If yes then,
Can we directly give the output to ADC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS24720 , TPS24750 Using TPS24720 hot-swap controller in a 12V 10A application with dV/dt control on the MOSFET Gate per the suggested alternative design example in the datasheet. Predictably, the inrush TIMER times out…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS24720TPS24720 has IMON function.
Please tell me the current monitor measurement accuracy.
And please tell me the relationship between the sense resistor voltage and IMON output voltage.
Part Number: TPS2400 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM25069 , TPS24720 Hello, Fujitsu is using 12V/30A(max) DC supply rail. Since loaded devices absolute maximum input voltage is ~15V, they would like to clamp the 12V rail at 14V maximum. And they are…
Hi Mike,
Thanks for reaching out!
As mentioned in the other E2E thread, the part is not recommended to use for continuous current > 15A. So please do not use a Rilm resistor < 100 ohms.
For high current needs, use TPS24720 or LM25066
Best Regards…
Part Number: BQ34110 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO , BQ25713 , TPS24720 Hello, per data sheet, the typical consumption (ICC_NORMAL) is 133uA. However, I measured around 1mA. Only when I issued the SET_SNOOZE control (with bqStudio) I got a…
Hi Harish,
Your calculations are correct. The over current protection takes care of FET protection, however, LM9061-Q1 does not provide precise over current protection as it relays on FET Rds_on which varies widely with operating temperature.
If…
Hi Aki Li,
We will have to realize this using a multi chip solution. Below are the IC's you can use for each rail,
10 A Rail : You can consider using an integrated efuse, TPS25982
20 A Rail : Hotswap+ 1 FET
60 A Rail : Hotswap + 3 FET's
