Yes, I recommend to use a small MOSFET instead of diode to have lower voltage drop, something like shown in Figure 1. TPS259230-41EVM Schematic www.ti.com/.../sluuba0a.pdf

you can also evaluate TPS25970 and TPS25971 devices on TPS259230-41EVM by just replacing TPS259230 and TPS259241 by TPS25970 and TPS25971 respectively.
So please order TPS259230-41EVM from TI estore and samples of TPS25971 as well.

IC max current setting --> 2A.
electro load setting -->> CC mode (constant-current)
I want to maintain 2A output from IC even if load pulls over 2A. but IC shut down immediately…
