Hello TI, I want to use TI eFuses for my PDM device. I need the eFuses to have an externally on-the-fly adjustable trip current. I want to change the trip current using software and…
Part Number: TPS25983EVM Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25983 Tool/software: Hi,
I'm planning on using the TPS25983 on an upcoming design and am looking at the EVAL board for a good example of placement and routing. However, I can't seem to find…
Hi Hale,
So 12V, 15A continuous current application should be able to use TPS25983.
I don't think 30A device is required for 15A application.

Hi Hai,
I am sharing our EVM files TPS25983 device. This device is p2p with TPS25982 so these files should still help in your case. I hope following them should be able to resolve the issue. Please let me know if there are any follow up questions.

Hi Justin,
It looks like TPS25982 is doing multiple restarts to charge the output cap. These restarts are happening due to high inrush current. Please refer to this FAQ.

Hi Robin,
It is possible to have this issue if LDSTART pin sees some pulsating input either due to coupling from some other pin or due to ground bouncing or due to external driving component.
Since TPS25983 is p2p and doesn't have this LDSTART, that should…
Hi Victoria,
Good day!
Victoria Qin said: 1. Could load capacitor be 3100uF and could power up normally? Is there any design attention for this scenario?
Yes, the device can handle this but we will have to check the inrush current and prevent thermal shutdown…
