Hi Jospeh,
Thanks for your inputs.
I have updated the power calculator and selected suitable Feedback and compensation network. Please review the schematics and power calculator bode plots and provide if any review comments. I would like to release the…
Hello Ryan,
The purpose of the circuit is big hobby RC servos, noise shouldnt be a problem. I tried to use a TPS40304, to supply 5 servos (5 A e/o) but was horrible because I couldn't make it work and supposedly the schematic is ok. There are any easy…
The actual min voltage is 4.5 which derived from (5V+/-10%). But I need to support worst case, so I wanted to have little bit margin so I wrote 4.45v. The
3.75V is planned to use as source to other DCDC to produce 3.4V, 3.2V,1.8V, etc,.. (and I…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS56121 , TPS56221 , TPS40304 What is the highest recommended output voltage I can program using R4/R7 ?
What I would like is a Vout <= 10v, with Iout <=15A with a Vin = 12v. It there a better part?
I am thinking about…
Thank you, Britt for the models. However after replacing these two models into TPS40304 ref design as attached below, I find out final Vout drop from 0.9V to 0V, no longer as target 1.2V, what's wrong (no other any changes EXCEPT replacing those two NFET…
Jimmy,
Here is an example of a buck controller (TPS40304) with external MOSFET's used in a Buck-Boost configuration, http://www.ti.com/tool/pmp4293 . It would be very close to what you are trying to achieve.
Regards,
Richard.
Hello Tahar,
Below is the calculation tool file that the customer replied.

They said they couldn't change the values because they didn't understand the contents of the display items below.…
1/10 of the switching frequency is a good choice.
The bandwidth corresponds to how fast the loop response is, so higher bandwidth means the output voltage can recover much more quickly during load transient.
Here is a design tool/checklist to help verify…
Hello Anthony,
Please provide the updated TPS40KType spreadsheet that you used prior to making the last recommendations for the compensation network values.
Please see attached.
