Part Number: TPS40428 Tool/software: Hello,
We are using a TPS40428 in multiphase output with a pair of CSD95378B devices to drive an FPGA core voltage at 0.75 Volts, pretty much per the schematic in the datasheet.
I am testing the PMBUS READ_IOUT command…
Part Number: TPS40428 Dear TI expert,
I was original using TPS40428 + 2* CSD95378 to power Xilinx UltraScale FPGA, 12Vin => 1V, 40A
But now I changing my design to power Xilinx Versal Prime FPGA, 24Vin => 0.88V, 40~60A
I see CSD95378 Recommand…
Part Number: TPS40428 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB-TO-GPIO2 , Hi team
Customer is using TPS40428 and now it's running production, could you please help to confirm if USB-TO-GPIO2 can support TPS40428? Because customer reflect that they can download…
Hi Ohad,
Were you able to test the configuration file and pull a load of 60 A? The OCF/OCP settings should be per phase, so in this case be able to have 60 A total output should be fine. Sorry for the confusion.
Best,
Ryan
Hi Alex,
It looks like there is an over current at power up. This is why I thought about excessive capacitance. How about the inductor rated current?

Part Number: TPS40428 Hi Sir,
I have design fault that pin29 (PG1) and pin30(ISH1) shorted, which pull the ISH net to GND cause the IC think no current output
Is there any register code I can disable the PG1 pin and always pull high?
It will be great…
Part Number: TPS40428 Hi team
We are using TPS40428 for POL power supply, and we are wondering if we have a range of ADDR resistor? Like the figure below, we only get the exact resistor value here, but we need to know the max tolerance at the same time…
Part Number: TPS40428 Hi Ti team,
I have build a board with TPS40428 and 2x CSD95378B for evaluation, using 12V input to provide 1V output, design reference from PMP9444
but now my system have 2 issues
1/ OVF are easily triggered when enable TPS4042…
Part Number: TPS40428 Hi
According to the TPS40428 datasheet, sect. 7.6.2.8.6 at page 38:
"It is permitted to use the STORE_USER_ALL command while the device is operating. However, the device may be unresponsive during the write operation with unpredictable…
Part Number: TPS40428 Hi expert team
Customer is using TPS40428 with CSD95378, the VIN is 12V. We encountered some abnormal issue: when they set VOUT=5V via FB resistor, the duty cycle will be nearly 100%. But if we adjust the VOUT via PMBus, the circuit…
