Part Number: TPS54521 Hello,
I would like to use this circuit to power my DSP C6654 with power draw of 3A worst case. I want to use the circuit on the first page or the 5A circuit. Do I need 4 x 470 uF at the output?

Part Number: TPS54521 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54302 Hi there,
We used the TPS54521 for main power supply unit in mobile camera apllication,
Now we faced to solve the EMC(conducted emission) issue for automotive application using TPS54521…
Hi,
Your analysis is correct. The vout accuracy is influenced by Vref, and feedback resistor accuracy.
If you need a 1% tolerance output, the TPS54521 can't satisfy you because it's Vref has tolerance of 3%.

Lauren,
The dead time is not listed in the Electrical Characteristics Table, so it is not guaranteed. I checked the characterization data and it is not listed there either. SO far as I know, this TPS54521 does not have any history of shoot through…
Hi Kevin,
The customer should use ψJT=0.5°C/W in their calculation, and the package top temperature is close to junction temperature.
For RθJC-top parameter, it must be ensured that the top is the main path of heat sinking, which doesn't make sense…
