Part Number: TPS54623 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54521 , , TPS54528 Customer thought that TPS54623 is too expensive for them. Is there any better option to it? Or other similar products? And the max output current=5A is also ok for them. I am …
Part Number: TPS54623 Hello Sirs,
May I have your comment
- How is tps54623 output OVP spec ? Can we disable it ?
- If we use mosfet to on/off feedback low side resistor to change in between 0.9V and 1V around 6A from 12Vin.
Is there any risk ? I am…

Hello,
I used TI webench tool to design a circuit for 12V input 5V 5A output with TPS54623, but the webench circuit cannot get the correct voltage…

Auto-Compensate works as long as load is 2A or more, but If I reduce to my target 1A, auto-compensate fails.

Hi Wendy,
Some potential alternatives for TPS54620 are the following:
TPS54622: TPS54620 has 0.8Vref and pulse by pulse current protection while TPS54622 has 0.6Vref and hiccup current protection.
TPS54623: TPS54620 has 0.8Vref and pulse by pulse current…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54623 , TPS54622 Does anyone know why the TPS54623 was EOL (per Mouser)? Anyone use it in a shipping design, and if so any feedback?
Mouser still has parts for sale, but the datasheet on TI's website has been removed…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54623 , TPS54622 We have a design with a number of TPS54623 buck converters, all running from a rail of 12.6 V. We see a noisy pulse width on the supply with the lowest output voltage, 1.2V. A demo board with the same…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54622 , TPS54623 , TPS546D24A , TPS54A24 For 5G applications, do you need to pay attention to the design and selection of heat sinks for temperature dissipation?
Hi Martin,
The customer could also consider using the TPS54623. This has diode emulation at light loads so it will not sink current. It is also pin to pin with the TPS54622.
Best Regards,
Anthony
Hi Anthony,
I am designing for 5V, 3.3V, 1.8V and 1V high efficiency 200KHz (sealed box) Ultrasound based on (2) solutions attached 1.8V Sims in both parts. In both cases transient load sim needs improved.
My process, set basic design in web bench…
