    1. the first waveform is VIN? could you try to add large input capacitor to stabilize the input voltage. make sure the cable between the power supply and the converter is as short as possible. 2. please increase to the output capacitor, try to add another…

Hi Sir, Unfortunately there is no pin to pin device with TPS61230A. You may need to select another boost converter.

The layout are not optimum, but better than the first one. the ceramic capacitor should be as the same layout of the IC, the routing between the IC and the capacitor is short and width. following is the method to measuring the voltage spike www.ti.com…

Hi NTC, your drawing is really the image I were think. this circuit will work if the battery voltage no lower than 3V. you can also change the circuit to SEPIC to avoid using a BUCK. there is a SEPIC EVM based on TPS55340 for your reference. if…

you can't select TPS61236P because this device requires VOUT at least 0.6V higher than VOUT TPS61230 is GOOD if it's input voltage is acceptable. or TPS61230A is better, only with the concern of input voltage range. TPS61021 have wide input voltage…

5V input logic is OK. the logic high voltage of the EN pin should be higher than 0.8*VBAT, so the 3.3V may be also OK depending on the battery voltage range. you can have a look at TPS61230 or TPS61230A for this application condition

Hi Nicky, The LMR62014 can not output 5.2V/0.8A from 2.8V input voltage because its switch current limit is only 1.4A. Please take a look at the Figure 22 in datasheet. I would suggest TPS61230, TPS61230A, or TPS612592. What is the application? …

    1. when you said the eval board consumes 3A, do you mean the input current of the eval board is 3A? 2. not sure about the charging current for the special phone, if the charging current is very high, 2.5A for example, the TPS61230 could be very hot.…

Cyril, For the charger, bq25895 or bq25896 are the best integrated FET choices for up to 4A system current and up to 12V input voltage. For up to 24V input voltage, you will have to move to bq24170 or one of the external FET charge controllers like…

Currently we only have TPS61230. we are also developing TPS61230A, better efficiency and smaller solution size. but the RTM schedule could be a problem.
