Part Number: TPS62080 We use this design on out board to create the internal voltage of the FPGA, it is set to 1.2V
On a few board we get about 1.7V output and the regulator isn't switching, it only switches at startup until it reaches 1.2V, the regulator…
Part Number: TPS62080 Hello
In TPS62080's Datasheet,It has the following description.
===============================================
When EN is set to start device operation, the device starts switching after a delay of about 40 μs
and VOUT rises…
Part Number: TPS62080
The customer found that the static current in the sample TPS62080ADSG was too large, and the test in the empty plate was around 12mA. The parameter on the Datasheet is 30uA. The static current is normal after replacing TPS62080DSG…
Part Number: TPS62080 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62097 , TPS51200 , TPS51206 Would the TPS62080 be a suitable regulator for a DDR4 VTT termination regulator? The regulator would need source/sink capability of around at least 400mA and be able to…
Part Number: TPS62080 How do I go about getting a TI power supply engineer to review power supply design using part # TPS62080 and comment whether the design will work properly or not?
Appreciate a quick response on this as we have designed, built and…
Hi Randy,
TPS62080 does not have a forced PWM mode feature. So, it always operates in power save mode, which does not sink current. This would be inefficient.
The TPS51206 is typically used as a DDR terminator for the Vtt rail.
Part Number: TMS320F28378S Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE , TMS320F28379D , TPS62080 , TMS320F28377S Hi,
How well regulated do the supply voltages (3.3V and 1.2V) need to be to TMS320F2837XS parts? I do not see a specification provided for allowable…
Hi Fabio,
Yes the TPS62080 and TPS62200 are also rated 6V parts.
These are some alternate 6V rated parts -
TPS6223xx
TPS62260
TPS62290
TPS62851x
They can be used with the 4-cell NiMH batteries as well.
Is there some concern with the TPS62840 for your…
Part Number: TPS62080
We are using the TPS62080 to go from 5V input to 1.5V output for a DDR supply. Feedback resistors are 80.6K between Vout and FB and 34K from FB to GND.
When we power on ~some~ boards we see the output voltage is 3V.
We have a ferrite…
Hi Aaron,
Yes, those are the low-side FET body diode drops that you see on the SW node. The actual value may be different slightly but yes the nature of the SW node waveform is accurate. Also, these will not damage the IC. See https://www.ti.com/lit/an…
