I think it is no problem to use TPS62290 and not use TPS76933. 32.768 kHz crystal is not mandatory and you can refer to the discussions about 32K crystal at e2e.ti.com/.../39596

Anthony P Pham said: Taking a quick look, yes the TPS62290 looks like a good choice.
Thanks!
Anthony P Pham said: I can take a look at the BQ24030-Q1 portion of the schematic.
Do you have an email address to which I can send the schematic?
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62290 I'm trying to use the TPS62290 in a 1S Lipo configuration to provide 2.0v to a microcontroller.
I've ran into a problem however and I don't know if it's my design or the part.
I copied the reference design…
Thank you for viewing the layout recommendation in the D/S. Please follow its example in your design.
The TPS62290 and TPS62230 family might also be of interest. Why do you need forced PWM mode?
I hear you on your having difficulty find the best device for a given application. There are always many ways to solve a problem and choosing an IC is no different.
In my experience, we don't discontinue very many parts at all. So, the reason to use…
The datasheet is clear about the maximum output current. Although getting higher output current at typical conditions may be possible I cannot recommend to use this device for a load current above the maximum specified. For higher output current I recommend…
Part Number: TPS62290-Q1 Customer found damages in the process of using TPS62290IDRVRQ1.
This IC has produced about 300 PCS in this project. At present, there are three boards with this problem. so, the failure rate = 1%
This batch of samples have…
