Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63002 we want to get the voltage (5v) from the tps63002,when the sleep_pen3 is 3.3v from the mcu,but somedays the output will be 5v when the the sleep_pen3 is 3.3v,however someday the output will be 3.2v when the the…
Part Number: TPS63002 Hello! I'm designing a circuit using TPS63002. In recommended part list and application there is R100 resistor. I wonder if I can use R150 instead of R100 because I'd like to reduce BOM (I already have some R150 resistors in BOM…
Part Number: TPS63002 have a TPS63002 IC and its circuit is designed for an input range of 3.5V-4.2V. The values of input and output capacitors as well as the inductor were calculated using WEBENCH. The circuit works exactly as intended, however, there…
Part Number: TPS63002
I followed the recommended design for all of the components on datasheet and try to use this Vout to drive multiple high power LEDs with a N-channel MOSFET before connecting the the cathode to the GND.
Will this configuration…
Hi,Kevin
I also meet this issue now,Did you solve this problem?
I designed a battery charging circuit, boost circuit input connected with a rectifier circuit, with maxon motor generator output after the boost to the battery charge, when there is no load…
Part Number: TPS63002 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24075 I wanna use TPS63002 to boost Li-ion battery voltage to fixed 5v, in order to power my Raspberry Pi3
I use WEBENCH tool to get the right values of Capacitors and Inductors, and the resulting…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63002 Hello,
I use TPS63002 and I don't understand how to configure the low-pass filter (100 ohms and 100nF) on VinA, EN and PS/SYNC. Is it possible to remove it ?
In fact, I use a low power input which is 20V input…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63031 , TPS63002 I read few posts about problem mentioned in title.
We produced more than 100 pcs of PCB with TPS63002. We didn't change anything in the new PCB series (50pcs). Now we have 90% of damaged TPS63002 (short…

Hello,
We're using TPS63002 to generate 5v / 0.5A (peak) from Li-ION battery (see below schematics)
We see that the device is damaged in high percentage ~40%!!! in production.
In a functional circuit,…
Our issues were caused due to the IC thermal pad not contacting the thermal pad of the board.
If you aren't already, I suggest using hot air soldering iron for mounting the IC on the board. Also, recheck the quality of the flux you're using.
