Part Number: TPS65218D0 Tool/software: Hi all,
I asked in a related thread before.
The output of DCDC4 drops at the timing of the red line in the attached file, and I confirmed that it does not start normally and seems to repeat the startup sequence…
Part Number: TPS65218D0 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3351 Tool/software: The image below shows "RTC_PMIC_EN" coming from somewhere to the PWR_EN of the PMIC (presumably pin 46). In our current design we have the PWR_EN PMIC input coming…
Part Number: TPS65218D0 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3351 , Tool/software: We are using the TPS65218D0 with the AM3351. We've measured 400us for the nPFO signal to be asserted from the time the PFI input drops below the 800mV threshold. See attached…
Hi Vinay,
Thank you for the waveform. It appears there is a ~8ms gap between the PGOOD to DCDC2.. There should at least be a 20 ms delay by default between the last power rail (DCDC2) to PGOOD.
Do you notice this PGOOD coming up 20ms after DCDC6, or DCDC1…
Hello Sarah,
Thank you for the reply.
We are paying attention to that and have powered the board using a power supply with current display, but the board doesn't seem to be using more than 100 mA all together.
I'll send you the schematics and layout…
Hi Ryusuke,
GPIO3: If register 0x14 CONFIG2 bit DC12_RST = 0h then GPIO3 can be left floating, I advised to pull up to VP_3P3 in case this was acting as a reset for the PMIC (DC12_RST = 1h) , but if it has no effect, then it can be left floating.
AC_DET…
Part Number: TPS65218D0 We need two details about the part TPS65218D0.
We are planning to use 3.3V rail as input voltage for all DCDC Step-Down Converters. So Can we generate 3.3V output with the input of 3.3V in any of DCDC convertors ?
Also power…
Hi James,
James Steenbock said: The configuration you shared should work as you described, although you may want to add a resistor to GND on the AC pin just to make sure the pin doesn't float between GND and some high voltage.
As shown in the image…
Part Number: TPS65218D0 Hi,
Customer is using 100KHz I2C to control TPS65218D0.
However sometimes, it is changed to 400KHz and returned to 100KHz.
Is there any issue?
Can customer set I2C speed to 200 or 300kHz non-standard?
Thanks.
Part Number: TPS65218D0 Tool/software: Hi all,
On a board equipped with AM4378ZDN and TPS65218D0PHP
An abnormal situation occured in which the CPU startup time was proportional to the time when the power was turned on.
RTC_PMIC_EN may not be stable for…
