  • RE: TPS7A85A: Temperature characteristic

Hi T Kishi, You should be able to use the webtherm simulator on webench for the TPS7A85. This does not have the exact same theta JA as the TPS7A85A. but it will give you a good estimate of the junction temperature for these boards. Best Regards…

Ryan-san, Thank you for your kind support. Let me ask you one more thing. Could you say the same thing about TPS7A85 as TPS7A8300. Is it OK to add 3.3 V to the EN pin when Vin=1.8V and Vbias=open? Customers are concerned about the following statement…

Hi, You are correct in thinking that process variations can cause an uneven output and load sharing between the LDOs. If one regulator's output voltage is even slightly higher than the other, it will set the overall regulator's output voltage and provide…

Hi Mahesh, We have released a TI Design ( www.ti.com/.../tida-00270 that demonstrates a method to parallel LDOs for higher current applications. This method can be applied to other adjustable LDOs such as TPS7A85. Very Respectfully, Ryan

Hi Prasanna, The problem with the resistor divider is that you need to be able to supply the Ibias requirement of 4mA max in the datasheet - the 11k resistor is too large in magnitude. You need to reduce the impedance of the 5V rail by lowering the…

Prahlad, We don't offer any LDOs which can deliver 10A of output current. Do you have any details for what you are trying to power here with the LDO that requires 10 A output current and 500 mV of dropout voltage? What is the input voltage source here…

hi, Ryan My customer need 6.0V output and will use full current(4~4.5A). Vin_Max of TPS7A85 is 6.5V and Vout_Max is 5V. But my customer want 6.5V_Vin & 6.0V_Vout at 5A_Current. anyway, though they take in the 6.0V at Vin and VB pin, the output…
