Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS92510 , TPS92512 , TPS92513 , LM46002 , LM3401 , LM3414 The TPS92512 datasheet clearly states a minimum Vin of 4.5V, but also an undervoltage lockout of only 2.94V. So - what happens if I attempt to use the part with Vin…
Hello,
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the TPS92510 as it is not part of the SIMPLE SWITCHER forum. You would have to ask that question in the LED forum.

As alternative solution I would like to put your attention to the LED controllers TPS92510 and LM3405.
TPS92510 as well has a thermal foldback protection which allows eliminate LED temperature in case of system failure
Andrew,
I don't see a downside with either option (a) or (b). You have highlighted some of the tradeoffs. The LM3406, LM3409, or TPS92510 would all be suitable options for buck stages.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SWITCHERPRO , TPS92001 , TPS92510 Hi,
Is there any SPICE / simulation model for the TPS92001 ? I can't find it on the web page or in SwitcherPRo / TINA. I would like to verify behavior of the feedback network in extreme…
The documentation provides very little detail about bringing up the board. It says to connect the right LED load, apply ~48VDC to the input, and it powers up at full output drive current. However, it isn't working that way. So I thought perhaps it needs…
