Hi Team,
We are penetrating our UC2842 in my customer and customer plan to evaluate, but they have a question about selecting the RT/CT. In our datasheet, we mentioned that…

i am using UC2842A i.e 100% duty cycle controller for my flyback converter power output is 160W,output voltage is 450V, input is 90-264 VAc can i use this controller for this application…
Part Number: UC2842A Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TL2843B , UC2842
Hi all Would you mind if we ask UC2842A and TL2843B? These devices have current limit function as follows; ・TL2843B : PWM for Cycle-by-Cycle Current Limiting ・UC2842 : Pulse-by-Pulse What…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC2842 , UC2842A Hello
I have two questions about UC2842 and UC2842A.
First, the datasheet format of UC2842A is different from other products.
Is there special reasons?
Second, what is the different in UC2842 and UC2842A…
Adam,
UC2842A is a legacy GP PWM (aka "old IC"). Most of the legacy PWM support is through simulation models and Webench which you can see is available in the UC2842A product folder. Sorry about that but we do not have hardware for this device…
Hello Eggsy,
The UC2842, UC2843 and the UC2842A, UC2843A have a 100% max duty cycle and Fosc = Fsw
The UC2844, UC2845 and the UC2844A, UC2845 have a 50% max duty cycle and Fosc = 2*Fsw
Regards
John

Part Number: UC2842 Hi,
I am reading the datesheet of UC2842A. I understood that it is PWM controller. I understood the working of Flyback controller ( attached block diagram http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva059b/slva059b.pdf or image attached in this thr…
Part Number: UC2843A Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC2842A Hi team,
My customer test the surface temperature of UC2842A and UCC2843A is greater than 85℃. And they calculate the junction temperature by the function--
Tj =Tc+PD*RθJC, where PD is the power…
Hello Matsumoto-san,
On UC2842A:
Start threshold range is 15V (min) to 17V (max)
Min. operating voltage after turn on is 9V (min) to 11V (max)
This means:
Minimum hysteresis is 15V - 11V =4V
Maximum hysteresis is 17V - 9V = 8V
Regards,
Karl
