Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC3906 I have build float dual charger using Uc3906. Results is very good. But I have a problem. battery voltage is reached from 23.5 to 27.5 Volt aproximately 4-5 hours; on the other, hand , reached for from 27,5 to 28…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC3906 , BQ24450 I am buildinga circuit for charging of my 12 V sealed lead acid battery using UC3906. The circuit behaves differently than it is described in the datasheet. It is said in slua115.pdf (U-104 application…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC3906 , UC2906 , BQ24450 Hello,
I am having issues with getting the pass transistors to turn on when using the UC2906/UC3906. My input supply is set at 24V and I am attempting to charge a Sealed Lead Acid battery(12V…
I have read the aplication note U-104 and in Figure 13 is used as the minimum input voltage of 9 volts for Voc = 7.5 V. my question is, what should be my minimum supply voltage for my charger with Voc = 29V?
thanks for your help
best regards
Please look at the bq24450 EVM. It has an option to use a MOSFET and an explanation on how to change the circuit for its use.
But likely this will not help you. The heat is from operating the transistor (FET or BJT) in the active region, not in saturation…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC3906 If i reverse the 12V SLA battery polarity, i notice there is about 80mA current flowing from UC3906 ground to pin11 which have a series resistor 140ohm and a diode back to the SLA. Is this normal?

Hi there,
My setup is
Battery Configuration is 24V 1.5Ah lead Acid Valve Regulated Battery
I am planning to use BQ24450 or UC3096 in my battery charger.
I am bit confused regarding…
There could be several things that extend the charge time. Do you have a load or any other circuitry connected to the battery? Have you measured the current into the battery over the charge process? Note that this is not equal to the input current as…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC3906 I've been assigned the task of designing the charging circuit for my senior design project. I've chosen the UC3906 to charge the two 12 V SLA batteries that I've put in series. I've read over the spec sheet and…
