    Hi, Q1, UCC2891 VIN needs minimum 18V to start, if not using VIN, but VDD, it is minimum 13.2V. So for 9V input, you need to add external circuit to make UCC2891 to start Q2, UCC2800, or UCC28C50 Q3, yes, or use TINA TI.
