Part Number: UCC2809-2 Hi, We could see the Absolute Maximum Junction Temperature is given as 150degC. What would be the Recommended Maximum Operating Junction Temperature ? Is it only 85degC? or More than this. Also, the datasheet doesn't have…

  • Abs max voltage on FB pin of UCC2809-2?

    Joerg
    Joerg
Hi Folks, TI Support refused to answer this because it is a technical (!) question. Weird, weird ... So, here goes: The UCC2809-2 datasheet is missing the absolute maximum rating for the FB pin (feedback pin). For a new design we need to know that limit…

    I found a reference design for 18 - 32 VAC input to 12 V @ 3 A and 5 V @ 2.5 A output. Pretty similar to your requirements. It is isolated however and does use quite a bit of filter capacitance (3 x 1000 uF). It uses UCC2809-2 controller. I also found…

Actually the UCC2809-2 needs 15.6V to start, the above math would be correct for the UCC2809-1. For the UCC2809-2 the start up time with R400=20k would be ~200ms. to get the 20ms R400 would have to be <2k Richard
