Part Number: UCD7230 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD7232
TI part UCD7230 is active from TI website - http://www.ti.com/product/UCD7230/pinout-quality
But datasheet says this part is obsolete - http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ucd7230.pdf

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD7230A , UCD7230 Similar to my last post, there are no obvious differences between the UCD7230 and UCD7230A
Could you highlight the difference for me briefly?
Thanks,
Brian
Hello Eamon,
PTD08A010W and PTD08A020W use UCD7230, with Tj max of 150C. And yes, all these modules use diodes for temperature measurement.

Hi Mohammad,
On UCD7230 product page, it shows UCD7230 is compatible with UCD92XX controller.
I checked PWM and SER voltage level, they are compatible.
So I think it should be fine to use UCD9248 with PTD08A10W.
Hi Qian, I am sorry, I can not paste again the picture. It was a printscreen of the Fusion GUI with "Other Comms fault" logged.
I did not see when power_good signal goes low. It was during endurance tests. When I saw the power_good signal low…
You can select correct power module in Fusion GUI. PTD module uses UCD7230 driver, so after you choose PTD module, the schematic will show UCD7230 inside the module.
Hi Dima,
Which Power Stage are you using? Are you using Inductor DCR or R_series for current monitoring?
I can give an example to show how to calculate the IOUT_CAL_GAIN and IOUT_CAL_OFFSET.
Let's take UCD9240+UCD7230 as an example.
[1] For R_series…
The PTD08A020W module uses the UCD7230 mosfet driver. The maximum output rail voltage that can be achieved by the UCD7230 driver is limited by the absolute maximum voltage ratings of the POS/NEG pins used by the DCR current sensing circuit which is 5.6V.…
The FLT signal from the PTD module originates from the UCD7230 driver on the board. The UCD7230 raises the FLT line under two conditions, High Side Mosfet Over Current as set by the CS+ pin or when the Average Output Current exceeds the limit set by ILIM…
Part Number: UCD9248 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PTD08D210W Dear UCD9248 team:
I tried to reprogram UCD9248 with Manufacturing Tool back to factory defaults for VC707 boards.
But the GUI always stuck at the 'validating' and failed. Please see the…
