RE: XTR106: XTR106 Internal Bandgap Reference Voltage?

Hello Luis and Kai, Thank you both for the replies. Luis, your understanding is correct. Though, we also use diodes for a thermally varying forward voltage, this adjusts the reference voltage thru temperature (which is then fed to Vref 2.5). There is...

[FAQ] Why does my 2-wire 4-20mA transmitter output not reach the full 20mA?

    • Resolved
Why does my 2-wire 4-20mA transmitter output not reach the full 20mA? When I change the load resistance or decrease the supply, the output changes. What can I do to fix this?

    RE: Load Cell Circuit Design

Hi Furro, figure 1 of datasheet of XTR106 shows a way to adjust the offset voltage of a bridge. But I think that something is wrong with your load cell when the offset voltage of brigde is ten times higher than your full scale span (1kg). It should be...

RE: XTR106: 4-20mA transmitter Load Cell measures external circuit current comsumption?

Hi Pablo, Your assumption about the IRET current is not quite right, all of the current through IRET actually becomes part of the output current. This is why the total current consumed in your input stage dictates the minimum possible output current...

RE: XTR106: Design a 4-20mA transmitter for a 700 Ohm input impedance Load Cell

Hi Pablo, VTrim is optional. It helps to eliminate offset errors. In your apllication you could take a 50k cermet trimmer and a 100k resistor between wiper and bridge. Kai
