Thanks for providing the critical information.
I verified on EVM and similar waveforms were observed. This kind of negative SW voltage happens during shutdown…
Part Number: TPS61169
Tool/software:
Dear Team,
My customer is evaluating the TPS61169 at LCD Panel LED Backlight driver application. And they measured around -1.3V negative undershoot voltage at SW pin which is larger than -0.3V of absolute maximum…
Part Number: LM63615-Q1 Tool/software:
I am measuring SW node voltage of LM63615DQPWPRQ1, I could witness the sudden dip in rising edge of sw node and it is rising again. can you please explain why this behavior and how to mitigate this
Part Number: TPS54302 Tool/software: Hi,
A my account measures that negative peak voltage on SW pin of TPS54302 is <-0.3V@156nS, is there any risks for TPS54302?
note: the GND loop is as the following.
ch1: SW.
Part Number: TPS659128 Tool/software: Hi Team,
Could you please help to check the negative voltage spec in SW for each Buck?(DC-DC1 to DC-DC4)
Thank you
Yishan Chen
Part Number: TPSM8D6C24 Tool/software: Hi team,
We measured the spike voltage of the SW node at different temperatures.
At low temperatures, spikes exceeding 20V were observed.
It appears that the clamping by the protection diode is not working…
Part Number: TPS54202 Tool/software:
Hi,
A my account measures that negative peak voltage on SW pin of TPS54202 is -0.74V@38nS, is there any risks for TPS54202?
note: the GND loop is as the following.
Emma Wang said: My customer still want to know, if there is an equivalent series back 2 back diode from SW to GND for this device.
I don't believe there is a back to back diode on the SW pin.

Hi Savith,
Generally, the voltage of the SW node is not checked in module products, but is there any chance that the SW node will exceed its rated voltage due to the layout?
Hi Ryan,
If the SW node transient is within datasheet limits, it shouldn't be a problem.
Regarding the catch diode, it is better to use lower Vf diode like B560C , so that efficiency of the converter is better.
Thanks,
Nitya
