Part Number: ADS1131 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC125A , ADS1234 , ADS1120 , ADS1220 , ADS114S08 , ADS124S08 Hello everyone, I have a design of an application with an ads1131 that is used with a load cell on a Weighing scale, I would like to extend…
Part Number: ADS1131 We are designing weight scale AD-conversion with ADS1131.
There is one nasty feature, circuit gives very high single readings to SPI bus time to time.
Stable reading may work several minutes, but fail may happen twice or more in seconds…
Part Number: ADS1131 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1230 , ADS1118 , ADS1120
I have soldered the IC and connected it as given in the data sheet ; but instead of weightstone bridge, i have coonected a battery (so as to obtain the adc value of battery…
Part Number: ADS1131 I am using the ADS1131 in a design with a load cell that has an input resistance of 404 ohms.
The excitation switch in the device is spec'ed to handle 30ma.
I have a customer who wants to use 3 load cells in parallel.
Excitation…
Part Number: ADS1131 We have been using this part with a load cell in an agricultural outdoor setting. In some installations, we notice that it provides extreme erroneous data. We may see it drop to zero, and then at another time, report an extreme high…
Part Number: ADS1232 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1131 , ADS1231 , Hi there,
I'm thinking of upgrading the pcb by replacing ads1131 with ads1232.
1) Should I worry much about the new source code (except the 24bit difference)?
2) I'm satisfied…
Hi,
Could you let me know the mean of Zeff=500M, please? Is this value at opening three switch? Or this value at closing three switch? Or another mean?
best regards, Shimizu
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1131 Hi,
Attached is a schematic of ADS1131 in a ratiometric design.
Can you please check the VREFN pin and comments of overall design if any ?

Hi Venkatesan,
thank you very much for making us aware of this error in the ADS1131 datasheet. The datasheet has been updated accordingly now.

Hi ACDR,
You might consider the ADS123x family of devices for your system, as they are designed for measuring load cells / resistive bridges.
All of these devices are pin programmable, so there are no registers to program with just a read-only DOUT signal…
