Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ51021 , BQ51020 , BQ51221 Hi All,
Our customer has been interested in bq51021 because it has I2C function in contrast to bq51020, but only bq51020EVM has been available so far. Do you have any option to evaluate bq51021…
Aleksandr,
The bq51050B does not have a feature to note that it is on the pad.
The bq51021 does have a feature "pad detect" that does give that indication. See the PD_DET pin in the datasheet for more information. The bq51021 is a wireless power receiver…
Predrag,
The bq51221 and bq51222 are the same except how they report their WPC version. The bq51221 reports v1.1 and the bq51222 reports v1.2.
If you only want a WPC version, look at the bq51021. It only covers the WPC and it still has the I2C interface…
Alwin,
The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) and Power Matters Alliance (PMA) do not support 2-way communication. Power is sent from the TX to the RX and the RX sends information to the TX.
In general, solutions requiring 2-way communication use Bluetooth…
Dear Dick I've found the problem. It is about timing requirement by I2C line on BQ51221. I tried two more different power transmitters as well as different power sources with different output current, the issue still was there. Then I monitored the I2C…
Vinit,
The bq51020 has an adjustable output that goes up to 8V. There are two other similar parts that also go to 8V (bq51021 adds I2C and bq51021 adds I2C and Dual mode capability for PMA and WPC).
The bq51025 is in development and will be able to…
1.) The bq51020 is a larger device with better thermal performance, lower thermal rise at 5W output. Larger package and higher number of solder balls.
2.) The bq51020 is an adjustable output device from 4.5V to 8V. The bq51013B is fixed at 5V out. …
Also another question,
I was going through the comments in following post:

Hi Carlos Something is wrong with the set-up or data, as current is increased…
Ed,
The title suggests bq51050B and the note mentions bq51010B. They are slightly different and I'll explain both for clarity.
When the RX is on the pad, the RECT pin shows the rectified voltage. That's the first indication of power. As long as the…
A good basic RX to start with the bq51013B, EVM is available at the TI Store. Also the 013B comes in a QFN version which is easier for a lot of customers to work with. The ball grid array version is challenging to work with unless you have the right tools…
