Part Number: HEATEVM I could use some help with coding for RS-485 serial communication through SCI1. My code does not see the RX interrupt so I entered some code to TX "Hello" and this doesn't seem to work either. Would you examine my code to see if there…
Part Number: HEATEVM I have a HEAT board that I am trying to communicate with using a J-Link Pro. The J-Link indicates the Reset pin is low and this prevents me from connecting to the MCU (U19, SM470R1B1M). I confirmed this by checking voltage on U19…

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00002 , ADS1278-HT , TMS470R1B1M , REF5025-HT Hi,
I got a HEATEVM REV B board ( that is, TIDA-00002 ) and I need to use it for down hole drilling. I have few questions about using it.

Hi Geoffrey,
There is this reference design for SM470R1B1M-HT https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00002?keyMatch=HEATEVM but I don't think it is manufactured anymore.
Here Bob answered a similar question. https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/hercules…
Ankur,
I believe you entered the wrong TI design number for the part number.
You have TIDA-0002. This is for the HEATEVM, and it does not reference any motor control.
The pdf you reference is for TIDA-00757
Please re-post your question with correct TI…
Hi Beezee,
The HEATEVM is now obsolete. Support for this board is very limited.
The biasing for the ADS is included in the the schematics located here: www.ti.com/.../HEATEVM
It may be possible to bias appropriately external to the HEATEVM.
I will ask…
Go to the HEATEVM tool folder located here: http://www.ti.com/tool/HEATEVM
Scroll down to the "Software" section. You will see a link to "HEATEVM firmware". Download the firmware. The firmware will have the SPI code Wade is referring to.

Byron, thanks for your question. We built an in-house power-up board for the HEATEVM. This power-up board generates the analog and digital voltages (as well as the RST signal for the ARM) needed by the HEATEVM described on p. 10 of the user's guide. The…
Hi Brandon, thanks for your e-mail. Yes, the HEATEVM is pre-programmed and after programming, basic functionality is tested before they are stocked to make sure the boards were indeed succesfully programmed. The tool folder at ti.com ( www.ti.com/.../…
