Part Number: LM5017-QUICKSTART-CALC Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5017 Is it possible some error in calculating Vout in the spreadsheet has gone undetected? Sometimes, the col for Vout will be wrong and in white so one cannot correct that.

Part Number: LM5145 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , LM25145 , LM5146 Hi,
On the LM5145 product page both tools are listed. The Excel sheet looks similar, same input boxes. But when filling the sheets with the same requirements and values, I get large…
Part Number: LM5143DESIGN-CALC Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5143-Q1 Hi, Team,
Please let me confirm about "Effiency/Power Loss Analyzer shown in IM5143-Q1 Quickstart Design Tool. In the section of "Effiency/Power Loss Analyzer" in the file,…
Hi Ryan,
the losses of the Buck low side MOSFET can be calculated with:
P_switch.loss = 2 * Deadtime * Fsw * Vsd * I_Out
Deadtime can be set to 50ns
Vsd = Forward Voltage of MOSFET Body diode
I may also use the Quickstart calculator which lets you set…
HI Akhil,
can you please fill the design details and the MOSFET parameters into the quickstart calculator:

and share it here.
Can you also share the schematic.
Please let me also know what you had…
Hi Jeff,
there is a range for the inductor value to choose and this can be then selected based on the application requirement.
A larger inductor value typically has bigger size, maybe higher cost but less ripple current therefore less core losses.
Based…
MJ,
Please fill out and attach a quickstart calculator.

Hi Lionel,
I don't think it should be an issue as long as you aren't in violation of the high side current limit.
I recommend to use the quickstart calculator in addition to your calculations as a sanity check:
