Hi Kunihiro,
You can consider using LM74500-Q1. This device is the same as LM74700-Q1 minus the reverse current blocking functionality.
So, while using LM74500-Q1, the Gate would be high even when Anode > Cathode.
Hi,
In case you want only reverse polarity protection and no other protection feature, I would recommend you to have a look at LM74500-Q1.
LM74500-Q1 has greater pin to pin clearance, smaller package, lower cost when compared to LM7480-Q1
Part Number: LM5050-1 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM74500-Q1 Hi guys,
our system is directly connected to a battery and we want to protect against polarity reversal, but our system is bidirectionnal. We want to be
able to regen a certain amount…

My customer use LM5118 buck-boost converter and he wants to do the Reverse polarity protection, and I only find this document

Hello
I think it is best to prevent any back-feed from an external source into the regulator.
Please see the following application notes.

Hi Shiven Dhir…
Hello
Yes, a simple diode OR is all that you need.
There would be a reverse path from switch node ("OUTPUT" pin) to VIN, as with any switcher.
So you will need the diode OR.
TI also has dedicated diode OR components that have a much lower voltage…
Part Number: LM74700-Q1 Tool/software: Hello Team,
can we use LM74700 IC for reverse polarity protection as one application note (Basic of ideal diode) suggetsed the LM74500 for reverse polarity protection ? what is the difference between these two…
