Part Number: PMP6812 Hi team
Good day
What is the purpose of J5 and J3 on this board? For my application I need 12V 2A. I am using this design but making it as small as possible so I am trying to figure out if I need J5 and J3 or is it just something…
Part Number: PMP6812 Hi Team,
My customer is referring to PMP6812 for PoE PD design and they have the following questions.
1. L2 is shorted in the schematic. Is there any special purpose of doing so?
2. Is Q2 reserved only or needed? What is the effect…

Hi, I'm HS.
I've designed the PoE PD circuit which is using TPS23754 and referenced PMP6812.
I've got some questions about PMP6812.…
Hi Eunsung,
Thanks for reaching out.
The transformer you applied is used for forward converter. You used a flyback converter which needs a flyback transformer which can store energy. Using forward transformer may easily cause flux density saturated.

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for reaching out!
I would assume you plan to have 12-V 24-W isolated output power.
The following reference design boards could help:
PMP22806 (12-V 2.1A Flyback, with TPS23731): www.ti.com/.../PMP22806
PMP8812 (12-V 2.1A Flyback, with…
Hi Runtao, May I know what transformer you are using at U49? I am not familiar with this EP_T838S, and cannot find any information on it, but it appears to be a forward converter. Could you send the datasheet for this component, if able?
It seems as though…
Hi Andrzej,
Thanks for your reply.
1. We have some reference designs with different output voltage levels with TPS23754. Besides, transformer manufacturers like Wurth, Linkcom, Pulse, Coilcraft, etc. all have PoE transformer (37 - 57 V input). You can search…
