Part Number: PTH08T250W Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PTH12040W , TIDA-00582 We are considering using two PTH08T250W in parallel for the purpose of controlling load current rather than load voltage by having external circuitry that senses the load…
Part Number: PTH12040W Hi,
We want to purchase PTH12040WAZ from TI website. Q'ty:108
https://www.ti.com/store/ti/en/p/product/?p=PTH12040WAZ
We would like to know the date code of PTH12040WAZ before we buy it.
Thanks!
Best Regards.

Part Number: PTH12040W Dear Support,
We have found a problem while using PTH12040WAH module.
When set to IN PUT VOLTAGE to DC12V and OUT PUT VOLTAGE to DC5V 5V, we could see the initial voltage of output voltage DC 5V has risen up to 9V, 250m…
Michael:
When the PTH12040W inhibit pin is measured at ground, and their is no switching function, under no load condition, no output current, it is possilbe to have about 0.7V on vout bus.
By adding an external resistance of 50Ω on Vout bus,the voltage…
The (-) remote connection at 10cm or less to module ground applies all PTH08T2XX and PTH04T2xx except PTH08T210/PTH05T210, PTH08T250 and PTH12040W.
Thanks
Tom
Andy,
For 50 A load current you will probably need a controller. There are 6 possibilities:
TPS53667 - 6-Phase, D-CAP+ Step-Down Driverless Buck Controller with NVM and PMBus Interface for AVS www.ti.com/.../tps53667
TPS53647 - 4-Phase, D-CAP…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PTH12040W , PTH08T255W I have been using the PTH12040W Power module to control the current in hi power lazer diodes. I sense the current and apply it to the "Track" pin closing the loop.
I now need more current and…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PTH12010W , PTH12040W I have a customer who is using the PTH12040WAZ in his board and during testing, some of the modules max out at about 10A when others go up to 40A.
What could be causing this?
Could it be…
If I might suggest
using an array of LM317 just connect each Adj pins and use 1 pot,,, also place a 2 Watt 10 OHM resister connecting each output.
I used 8 LM350 to power my 40 watt laser. Then I found Ti's PTH12040W modules. they rock!
It's just…
Stefano Vilardi:
I can only address the PTH12040W and negative output voltage. This module is only designed for +output voltage . We do not have any modules which generate _5V at 20-40A from a 12V power source. I suggest you search for an isolated…
