  • RE: WEBENCH® Tools: circuit against short

    Praveen GD
    Praveen GD
Hi Ilya, eFuse devices provide ouput short circuit protection along with FLT/ pin to indicate a Fault event in the system. For 28V rail you can consider using TPS2660 , TPS1663 or TPS2663 family of devices For 12V rail, you can have a look at…

Hi Deepak, TPS25910 limits the over current and continue till it hits thermal shutdown. Can you look at new device TPS2595. It offers better current limit accuracy in a smaller 2mmx2mm package. This would be cost-effective over TPS25910 Best Regards…

Hi Praveen, Quiescent current has to be below 100uA so TPS2595 is not proper. Input range is 4V~9V so TPS25200 is not proper. If you have other solution, please let me know. Thanks.

  • RE: Hot swap switch for negative voltage

    Rakesh
Hi Ottey, We don't have dual channel product like LT4220. For positive rail, we have integrated solutions like TPS2595, TPS2594x, TPS25982 which can be chosen based on load current requirement. For negative rail, LM5067 can be looked at but it has…

Hi Dmitri, Yes, that is the expected accuracy data. However the variation will be narrow with respect to voltage and temperature variation. Process variation determines the accuracy band and is the one we guarantee. We have better accuracy new part…

Hi James, I would recommend you to consider our latest parts, TPS2595 and TPS2596 for your application. In equation 11, Icharge is the current charging the Cext cap (dvdt cap) on the Gate pin. This current is not charging the load capacitance. The…

Hi Roy, Before I comment on your questions, I would like to let you know that this part is NOT recommended for new designs and is replaced by T PS25923 which is an EXACT EQUIVALENT in functionality and parametrics to TPS2592BL. You can also consider…

Hi Lee, Thanks for reaching us on this requirement. I would recommend to use TPS259531DSG here from TPS2595 family, which provides fast over voltage protection (clamps at 5.7V) along with current limiting feature. Please refer Figure 43 in the datasheet…
