Hi Team,

We are going to replace ON device - LMV393DMR2G. However, LMV393IDGKR L/T is too long. Can I use LMV393MMX/NOPB to replace it?

BTW, what is the different between non-"-N" version and "-N" version of LMV393. I saw the ESD rating and operation temperature are slight different. Is there any other difference? Thank you.

    Hello Mike,

    Simple...

    The LMV393-N is the original National Semiconductor version, and the LMV393 (non-N) is the native TI second source.

    After the TI + National acquisition, the former National devices that had similar GPN's received a "-N" to differentiate them.

    For 98% of the applications, that do not stress any specifications, the two devices are identical.

    But they are from (originally) two different companies, on two different processes, with two different designs. So there can be slight differences in fringe operations or when stressed - like any 2nd source. So we do recommend validating the replacement before going into production.
