LM2904B-Q1: What are the differences between LM2904B-Q1 and LM2904-Q1

The LM2903-Q1 is a comparator, and the LM2904-Q1 is the Op Amp cousin.

The new "B" versions were released to improve the performance of the 50+ year old designs. The "B" versions are on the latest process, and improve on most specifications as well as lower costs.

The LM2903-Q1 datasheet has a table on the front page showing the differences between the different versions.

The "B" versions were designed to drop-in replace the older versions. But as in any replacement, the datasheet should be reviewed if there are and critical design specifications that must be met.
