LM158: Difference between LM158J/883Q & LM158J/883B

Part Number: LM158

Hi Team,

Please let us know the difference between LM158J/883Q & LM158J/883B.

I think it is similar with following link but for conclusion, can we make use of part# LM158J/883Q instead of LM158J/883B?

  • Hello Tom,

The LM158J/883 and LM158J/883B are identical parts. The requirement for a revision letter at the end of the device is no longer implemented.

Regarding the Q marking, I do not believe it to be included in the part name. As the linked E2E post explains, the Q is associated with being a package marking, not included in the part number. Therefore, the part number you mentioned above (LM158J/833Q) would actually be designated as LM158J/833.

Please let me know if you have any questions,

    Regards,

    Jacob
