INA195: If we have to use INA195AIDBVR, what changes should we have to do on board?

Part Number: INA195
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA281

Hi, support team

My customer has the questions as follow:

Currently we are using INA193AIDBVR on our boards.
If we have to use INA195AIDBVR, what changes should we have to do on board?

Thanks so much.

Best regards,
Yuki

  • Yuki,

Thanks for posting in the forum.

The direct answer to your question is that to keep the same system transfer function: V=I*R*G, with G increasing from 20 to 100, you would need to decrease your R value by the same factor.

A alternative, and my recommendation, would be to consider changing to the P4P drop-in INA281 in the A1 configuration.  It is higher performing across all specs except negative common mode voltage range and IQ.

Unfortunately I see where we are also out of the INA281A1IDBVR and INA281A1IDBVT at this time, but we have many of the automotive INA281A1QDBVRQ1 available immediately in the store.

    Thanks, Dan Harmon
