INA280EVM: Vsense error data for using the INA280A1

Part Number: INA280EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA280

Hi Sirs,

My customer used INA280A1 on the INA280EVM to get the values of Vsense and Isense and to calculate the Audio power.

Q1: The freq at 100Hz, why the INA280A1of Vsense and V-out are different far away?

Q2: Pout at 40~45W and freq at 100~10KHz, why the Vsense and the V-out values are different far away?

  • Hello Henry,

From the Excel sheet it is not clear what is being measured and what is calculated.

"V_Rsense" is that a Voltage measured independently of the voltage across the Rshunt.  Is it measured with a high impedance meter?  Is the accuracy of this measurement greater than that of the INA280?

For the "Isense measured value" I have the similar questions.  How is this measured?  Is it accurate as well.  It is not calculated with the V_Rsense voltage as those numbers with Rsense of 0.025Ω do not match.

I would assume that V_Rsense/Rsense = ISense but from those measurements do not add up either.

I would look at Vsense at the resistor and also measure directly at the pins of the INA280 if they are different it is how you connect to Rsense that is the issue.
