INA280: INA280 Spice model

Part Number: INA280

Hello,

Spice model has an error:

"There are errors in the circuit. Simulation aborted.

INA280A2.lib (361): .SUBCKT VCM_MIN_VAR_INA280A2 VS_IN GND VCM_ACTUAL GND

***ERROR *** Duplicate nodes in sub-circuit definition".

Please, help to solve this problem.

Thanks

Lev

  • Hello Lev,

I will look into this now, but in mean time could you please share what the simulation schematic looks like? Did the simulation every work, or did it give you this error right away?

    Best,

    Peter

  • Hey Lev,

I would double check your input/bus voltage and the supply voltage. There is a limitation to the input common mode voltage (VCM) and supply voltage when Vs < 5. This is shown in Figure 7-1 of datasheet and this dependency has been modeled into this simulation model.

    Sincerely,

    Peter

  • Hi Peter,

Thank you for so fast reply.

I am using very simple circuit to test this model (see below) and it makes no difference which value of Common-Mode voltage (V2) is used.

The simulation does not run at all and gives the same error message. As you could see from this message is that an  internal subcircuit “VCM_MIN_VAR_INA280A2”

Has two nodes with the same name (GND). Simulator :SIMetrix

    Thanks

    Lev

  • Hey Lev,

These libraries work on my software.

I would suggest simply editing the INA280A2.lib text file, specifically deleting one of the  GND nodes.

    Sincerely,

    Peter
