LM6511: Missing simulation model (Spice model)

Part Number: LM6511
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI, LM311, TLV1805

Dear TI Team,

We are planning to use LM6511 for our oscillator design. But on its TI page, there is no simulation model for this IC.

It will be of great help, if you can provide me its Spice model (for LTSpice).

Best regards,
Siddhesh

  • Hi Siddhesh,

Thank you for your post. I have attached a .LIB SPICE file that you can use for the simulation model.

I have verified that the design works for both TINA-TI and PSpice.

A PSpice and TINA-TI model will be posted on ti.com shortly.

Let me know if you have any questions.

  • Hi Siddhesh,

I am curious as to what drew you to this part, since the LM311 family is more of a standard part with comparable specifications.

I would also like to suggest an alternative part if you do not require level-shifting.

The TLV1805 has a push-pull output stage that will be more symmetric and have sharper edges than an open-drain/collector counterpart.

    Sincerely,

    Izak Walker

  • Hi Izak,

Thank you for your reply. Actually TLV1805 was our first choice and its simulation was as expected. But, right now TLV1805 is out of stock. So we are looking for other options.

    Best regards,

    Siddhesh Rahula
