THS3001: A THS3002 Drop in replacement?

Part Number: THS3001
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THS4022,

I have a device that has a THS3002, well most likely a Knock-off as this device is not that old but based of an older design,

I have found the THS3002 but again it is a 'Knock-off' with a different markings not something I want to buy.

I know the HTS3001 is still in production but is there a drop in replacement or close replacement for the THS3002?

Cheers

John

  • Hi John,

Are you familiar with our part search tool on ti.com? You can search and sort parts by package type and most other specs. Without knowing how or what for you are using this device, a nearby part is the THS4022. It is a dual SOIC-8 amp with up to 32V supplies and a little less bandwidth.

    Best regards,

    Sean

  • The THS3001 is a 30V current feedback device - logically, the THS3002 would be a dual? TI never did a dual of the THS3001 so if you are seeing that, can't really be sure what that is. There are quite a few dual CFA for the xDLS line driver market, but a bit slower than the THS3001 (THS3012 maybe). Need to be more clear on technical requirements - who knows what the THS3002 really is?

  • Hmm it was on a data sheet but from 1999 and even on that one says it 'Product Review'  so maybe planned but never produced.  Really must be a 'knock-off' product.

Perhaps it is the OEM just masking their components to hide what they are doing.

    The plot thickens.

    I will check the THS3012

  • Thanks will check that one out.
