INA240: Influence of MOSFET ringing

Part Number: INA240
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8350,

Hi,

I'm using the INA240 in a motor controller to measure the phase currents for FOC. A DRV8350 is used

as a gate driver and there is some ringing at the output of the MOSFETs (SHx).

Now from the datasheet of the INA240, a common-mode voltage of maximum -4V is allowed on IN+ and IN-,

but the ringing seems to go down to around -7V for 20ns, which is way over the maximum raitings of the amplifier.

Now, how critical is that? I'm using the INA240 already in several motor control applications and had never an issue with

latch up or damage, also with way more ringing.
