INA220: INA220 and INA226 - Device ID

Hi Team,

I believe there will be a device ID register of INA220 and INA226. I cannot find it in datasheet. Could you let me know the address of the register and the device ID value for each device?

    Hello,

    The INA226 does have identification registers.

    Manufacture ID register address FEh with a value of 0x5449

    Die ID register address FFh with a value of 0x2660 the first 12 bits of this register (15-4) will be the device ID bits, while the last 4 bits (3-0) are the die id bits this shows the device revision.

    The INA220 does not have any identification registers as per the datasheet.

    Hi Castrense,

    Per I know, every device usually has its own device ID in case that there are multiple INA2xx family on the system and would like to confirm which device they are address. Could you please confirm that it's not the case for INA220?

    My customer checked that FEh resisgter of multiple INA220 on their board shows the same value 0x2000. I guess it indicates Manufacture ID. 

    Could you please check if INA220 has the same register address to INA226 for Manufacture ID and Die ID? Thank you!

    Hello,

    The INA220 does not have registers for its identification. The register map that is accessible to the customer is the one on the data sheet. The customer is trying to read a register that is not in the register map so we can not guarantee those values or the meaning of those values.
