Hi,
I'm trying to make a simple reading with the INA236EVM with a power source and a motor but on the GUI it doesn't show power and current readings. My system is connected like this:
I read the INA236EVM datasheet and it says to connect VBUS to pin 2 but on the board, it is written GND so I'm afraid to make a short circuit and damage the board.
Should I just make a jumper from the power source and connect to pin 2 of J1?

Hello Marcus,
Your connections above should work but if the current is larger than 10A I would not run the current through the connector but connect it like the image below. Please make sure the GUI is setup correctly for all the configuration registers and the Address selection pin is correct. Can you get any information on any of the registers? Did you go program Shunt Calibration?
The below connection will also help with accuracy as you are connecting to the Sense lines and remove additional resistance from the current path. Still didn't work. I'm sending you all the pictures of our setup and GUI.
The motor spins but the current and power measurements are not working. The source voltage is around 16V
I basically made the connections, opened the GUI, changed the Rshunt to 1.5 clicked on link to regmap, then powered up the systems and clicked on start colleting.

Try using this equations and instructions. Note: Shunt_Cal is the Calibration Register. That may be the confusion. Below information is from the preview datasheet. Sorry for the confusion.
