TLV9064: PCB pad design

Part Number: TLV9064

Hi team,

1. scba-017d: Regarding the width of the PCB pad design, is there a recommended value below 0.65pitch, and how to define the maximum width;

2. Slua271b: Is there a recommended value for the solder? It is determined that the length of the solder is added to the left and right sides to determine the length of the PCB pad as a whole?
It is stated in the Spec that if the width is above 0.65pitch, 0.025mm should be added to the width, but below 0.65pitch, is there a recommendation for how much each should be added?

  • Hello Amelie,

    1. For pin pitches below 0.65mm, you are to use the maximum width specified in the package drawing. For the case of TLV9064 RTE, I have included a screenshot as well as the link to the package drawing. https://www.ti.com/lit/ml/mpqf149c/mpqf149c.pdf
    2. Could you clarify what you are asking here? There is an extra allowance for the length of the PCB pad, but for the width, there is only a recommendation for larger pin pitches. For smaller pin pitches like TLV9064, the guidance is to make the width the same as the max pad size on the device.

    Please note that we do include footprints with our devices, and under the product page for TLV9064 in the "Design and Development" section, there is an existing footprint that is downloadable for the RTE (WQFN) package.

    Best,
    Jerry
