TLV9001: TLV9001, TLV9041

Part Number: TLV9001
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV9041

Hello Expert

I am writing to get your help on the below information for TLV9001 and TLV9041 which I couldn't find the data from the datasheet

Required Information

TLV9001IDPWR

TLV9041IDPWR

Power Dissipation (W)

Bandwidth (Min ~ Max)

Output Power (Max)

Could you review and let me get your advice on this?

Thanks and Best Regards

  • Hello Billy,

The request is a bit vague and could be interpreted in many ways.

The minimum power dissipation just to run the op amp is IQ * VS , Iq is in the data sheet, and Vs is set by customer (within DS limits)

The maximum power dissipation to prevent overheating, is based roughly on TJA. This is 233C/W in 9001 and TBD in 9041 (I expect higher). 9001 ABS max PW = (150C - TA) / (233C/W)

The Bandwidth min, max could be +/-30% per this https://training.ti.com/ti-precision-labs-op-amps-bandwidth-gain-gbw

Recommended maximum output power is based on the smallest resistance load in the EC tables. 2k for 9001 and 10k for 9041. Rec max output power is (Vs/2) / RL.

Maximum output power (regardless off overheat) is Vs * short circuit current , Isc is 40mA for both. However Isc drops with temperature so, look at typical output curves. For 9001 see figure 7-12, for 9041 see figures 7-15,16

  • Hello Ron

Thanks for the detailed information and it is clear to me.

    Thanks and Best Regards
