ISO124: Input voltage range

Part Number: ISO124
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1411, ISO224,

Hi Team,

On page 4 "6.3 Recommended Operating Conditions",  Analog input voltage is ±10V
but page 5 "6.5 Electrical Characteristics" Input voltage is ±12.5V
Which is correct?
Is there any problem when input is 10.24V?

  • Hi Tom,

Technically, they are both correct.  Page 4 is basically just telling you what the recommended conditions are.  Page 5 is letting you know that you have to have ~2.5V of headroom from input to the power rails.  Your 10.24V on the input to the ISO124 is not a problem as long as your supply is +/-15V.  Is this a new project?  If so, would you consider using the ISO224 or perhaps the AMC1411 instead of the ISO124?
