INA240: Datasheet and Gain Downside

Part Number: INA240

Hi,

Good Day. INA240 Datasheet is missing on the product file of the device (https://www.ti.com/product/INA240). What is the downside of having a high and low gain of this device. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hi Ray Vincent,

Thank you for catching the issue. The datasheet was editorially revised and accidentally took off the web, it should be back up in a day. Please check back then.

In the meanwhile, please refer to INA240-q1 datasheet for electrical parameters.

Regarding high versus low gain, it is mainly determined by the magnitude of the differential input signal in your application. You want to choose a gain that fully utilizes the dynamic range of the INA240, without saturating its output. Higher gain typically means the differential input is smaller, signal to noise ratio would be worse compared with lower gain.
