OPA145: the voltage output swing from rail

Part Number: OPA145
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA992, OPA2145

Hi,

We want to know the voltage output swing from rail of OPA145 & OPA992,

(when V+=12V/V-=-12V , RL=2kΩ)

please help to check which one is smaller, thanks!

  • Hello Sabrina,

The OPA145 output swing to the rail is specified on page 7 of the datasheet, as 210mV (or 230mV for OPA2145) from the rail supplies, at 25C with RL=2kΩ.  The datasheet provides specifications for different packages over the temperature range, ranging from 230mV to 350mV from the rail. The specification will be met over the valid voltage supply range ±2.25V to ±18V.

The OPAx992 output swing to the rail is specified on page 9 of the datasheet, specifies the max output swing of 300mV form the rail at ±20V (40V) with 2kΩ at 25C.  The device will meet the 300mV max output swing specification when powered with ±12V supplies at 25C.

The OPA145 has a closer output swing to the rail with 2kΩ at based on the max swing 25C specification.  Please also see Figures 6-24 and Figure 6-25 on pages 12 and 13 of the OPAx145 datasheet.

    Thank you and Regards,

    Luis
