LMP2012QML-SP: Presence of differential input diodes

Part Number: LMP2012QML-SP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMP2012

Hi All,

I would like to know if the input of the LMP2012 has some differential diodes connected between inverting and non-inverting input.

There is no simplified schematic in the datasheet, neither for the full circuit, nor for the input interface, to give an insight.

Thank you in advance.

Nicolas

  • Nicolas,

Most low-voltage CMOS op amps like LMP2012 do NOT requires back-to-back input protection diodes - exception: some zero-drift amplifiers have parasitic diodes as part of the front-end switches.  Even though there is no simplified schematic in the datasheet, you may confirm LMP2012 does NOT have these diodes by looking at the Absolute Maximum Ratings table (see below) showing allowable differential input voltage of +/-supply voltage.
